Revelstoke comes alive on Saturdays with two farmers’ markets running side by side in the downtown core. The Revelstoke Passport Tour is built around that Saturday rhythm, pairing a morning at the farmers’ markets with a handful of standout local stops for the rest of the day. From a farm to table cafe and an award winning craft distillery, to a gluten free bakery, a small batch brewery, a Latin American cantina, and a museum that traces the region’s history back long before the railway arrived, there’s so much to explore on this tour.

Open Saturdays from 8:30am to 1pm, May through October, the Revelstoke Farm and Craft Market has run in Grizzly Plaza since 1985, making it one of the longest running farmers’ markets in the BC Interior. It’s a grassroots, member led market where shoppers can talk directly to the farmers, bakers, and craftspeople behind the fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, meat, eggs, honey, and handmade crafts on the tables. It’s a true neighbourhood gathering spot, right in the heart of what locals affectionately call bear country.
Set up on First Street East in front of the Regent Hotel, the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative Farmers’ Market runs Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, May through October, and has grown steadily since it began in 2017. Several of its farms, breweries, and distilleries sit less than two kilometres from the market stalls, and the lineup has expanded well beyond produce to include dairy, meat, and specialty foods alongside artisan work like paintings, woodwork, and jewellery.
Terravita Kitchen
Terravita Kitchen is Revelstoke’s farm to table cafe, sourcing organic vegetables, eggs, and meat almost daily from Terra Firma Farms, just five kilometres down the road. The kitchen bakes its own naturally leavened sourdough fresh every day using organic BC grains, and builds its breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu around whatever the season brings, from grazing bowls and hearty soups to sandwiches and seasonal pastries.
Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery
Tucked into a small, family run space on MacKenzie Avenue, Monashee Spirits distills all of its spirits by hand using pure mountain spring water and locally sourced ingredients. Its Ethos Gin, made with local juniper, huckleberries, spruce tips, and ponderosa pine, took home the Canadian Artisan Spirit of the Year award, and the tasting bar pours craft cocktails alongside one of the largest whisky collections in Canada. Stop in for a distillery tour and a sample tasting, then settle in for a bespoke cocktail made with the house spirits.
Flourish Bakery
Flourish Bakery is a British inspired artisan bakery in the heart of downtown Revelstoke, fully gluten free with dairy free and vegan options across much of the menu, from fresh baked bread and scones to their famous chocolate brownies and carrot cupcakes. It’s a genuinely safe stop for anyone with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, without sacrificing flavour or texture, and pairs its baking with coffee roasted locally in Revelstoke at Holm Coffee Co.

Rumpus Beer Company
Rumpus Beer Company opened in 2019 and quickly became a local favourite for its bright, colourful taproom and rotating lineup of small batch beers. The brewer has collected local wild yeast cultures for some of the fermentations, giving several brews a flavour that’s distinctly Revelstoke, and flights let you taste your way through hazy IPAs, saisons, and barrel aged experiments before settling on a pint or a growler to go.
Cantina Del Centro
Cantina del Centro brings Latin American street food to downtown Revelstoke, with tacos, tortas, fresh salads, and house salsas made from scratch using local and in season ingredients, plus plenty of gluten free and plant based options. The craft cocktail list is anchored by some of the best margaritas in town, the patio welcomes dogs, and there’s even a bowling alley out back. Save room for Saturday brunch, when the Latin desayuno menu offers something unlike anywhere else in Revelstoke.
Revelstoke Museum and Archives
Revelstoke Museum and Archives has been collecting artifacts since 1960 and now holds more than 6,000 objects tracing the region’s story, but the heart of a visit is the permanent exhibit Sinixt: People of the Place of the Bull Trout. The exhibit shares the history and living presence of the Sinixt people, who lived throughout the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years, with visitors invited to listen to the Sinixt language and take in the scent of sweet cedar as they learn about the nation’s deep, ongoing connection to this land. From there, exhibits move through Revelstoke’s avalanche history, its ski culture dating back to 1890, the stories of the communities south of town displaced by the Hugh Keenleyside Dam, and the settlers who built the town around the railway.
