Delta is three communities in one tour. North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen each bring a farmers’ market to the weekend, and the Delta Passport Tour connects them all with a handful of standout local stops worth building your day around.

The North Delta Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 10am to 2pm at the North Delta Recreation Centre Plaza at 11415 84th Avenue. It is a lively neighbourhood market with a strong lineup of local farmers, artisans, and food vendors, plus live entertainment and family activities. A great way to kick off your Saturday.

Set inside the grounds of Southlands Grange in Tsawwassen, this Saturday market runs 10am to 3pm at 6333 Market Avenue and has a relaxed, community feel. Pick up organic fruit and vegetables, artisanal food, handcrafted goods, and baked goods, then stick around for the live music. A beautiful spot to spend a morning before exploring the rest of Tsawwassen.
Open alternating Saturdays. Check the Southlands Grange website or social media before you go.

One of the largest open air markets in western Canada, the Ladner Village Market fills three blocks of the pedestrian-only streets in historic Ladner Village every other Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Farm fresh produce, meats, seafood, artisans, and local businesses come together surrounded by heritage buildings and the old City Hall. The whole neighbourhood is worth exploring once you have your bag full.
Check the market website before you go for the current schedule.

Soi Ram Thai Street Food Eatery
After a morning at the farmers’ market, Soi Ram is exactly the kind of lunch stop you want. Thai street food the way it is meant to taste: loud, smoky, and straight off the wok. Tucked into Ladner Village on Delta Street, this little spot has earned a cult following for crispy spring rolls, Moo Ping pork skewers, papaya salad with bite, and Pad Thai locals will argue is the best in the Lower Mainland. Come hungry. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Four Winds Beach House and Brewery
A Saturday at the Southlands Grange farmers’ market pairs perfectly with an afternoon at Four Winds Beach House and Brewery. One of BC’s most decorated craft breweries, the Beach House and Brewery sits right next to the market at 6350 Market Avenue, serving coastally inspired dishes alongside small batch beers in a west coast beer hall setting. Pull up a chair on the patio and let the afternoon stretch out.

Cookie’s Ice Cream Co.
No market day in Ladner is complete without a stop at Cookie’s. Tucked into Delta Street just steps from the Ladner Village Market, Cookie’s churns small batch ice cream and sorbet in barrels the old fashioned way, then serves it in cups, cones, or pressed between two fresh cookies. Flavours rotate with the seasons, from spiced apple to cinnamon bun, with vegan options worth the detour. The perfect way to cap a Sunday morning.

Watershed Artworks Society
Right at the North Delta Farmers Market plaza, Watershed Artworks Society is an easy and rewarding addition to your Saturday. This community arts hub showcases diverse, high quality work by local artists. Duck in between market stalls, browse the current exhibition, and take a moment to support the artists who keep North Delta’s creative scene going.

Burns Bog
Round out your farmers’ market day with something a little different. The Delta Nature Reserve opens a window into Burns Bog, a vast peat bog and Ramsar Wetland of International Importance. Wander the boardwalks past songbirds, woodpeckers, and eagles. For thousands of years, the Coast Salish peoples whose unceded territory this is, including the Tsawwassen and Musqueam, gathered blueberries, cranberries, and salal here and harvested medicinal plants from the bog. A quiet and grounding way to end the day.

Coast Tsawwassen Inn
Coast Tsawwassen Inn offers a seaside escape in Delta, BC. Enjoy modern amenities, local dining at Browns Socialhouse, event venues for meetings and weddings, and comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi. Located close to attractions like Boundary Bay Park and Tsawwassen Mills.
