Your first market stop on the Prince George Tasting Passport Tour will take you to the Prince George Farmers’ Market, a weekly market that operates every Saturday year-round!
This market has become a must-visit for locals all year round since it moved into its own indoor space during the colder months. In the spring and summer dozens of vendors sprawl into the outdoor area as well, offering a variety of fresh produce, local meat and eggs, artisanal cheese, preserves, pickles and bannock!
Next, check out the Wilson Square Farmers’ Market. This volunteer-run non-profit market also operates on Saturdays, from May to October.
At this lively market, you can enjoy hot breakfast sandwiches and coffee as you peruse the local vendor’s selection of goods. Shop for traditional farm fresh meat, organic produce, wild-foraged mushrooms and other goodies, artisan baked goods, artwork and crafts. Be sure to check out the local music acts who play at this weekly market.

Huble Homestead Historic Site

Ancient Forest/Chun T’oh Whudujut Provincial Park
The hour-long drive from central Prince George to the Ancient Forest, also known as Chun T’oh Whudujut Provincial Park, is definitely worth it.
