Your first stop on the Sooke Passport Tour is the Sooke Country Market. This farmers’ market is a beloved Saturday tradition that celebrates the region’s rich agricultural roots and creative spirit. Set in a grassy field near the heart of town, it offers a lively mix of fresh produce, local honey, handmade crafts, baked goods, and preserves. Everything for sale has been proudly grown or made in the Sooke region. The Sooke Night Market is a vibrant summer tradition that takes place every Thursday evening from June through August on the scenic grounds of the Sooke Region Museum. This lively open-air market features a wide range of locally made, baked, or grown goods. Live music adds to the festive atmosphere, with special events like karaoke nights bringing even more community spirit to the evening. Guests can also explore the museum’s outdoor exhibits, including Moss Cottage and the Triangle Island Lighthouse, or browse the museum gift shop. Sooke Harbour House
Dining at Sooke Harbour House is a truly memorable experience, combining exquisite farm‑to‑table cuisine with breathtaking ocean views. Since opening in 2015, the restaurant has reinvested over half a million dollars into local farming and fishing communities – double that when including partnerships with regional wineries, distilleries, and breweries. Housed in a cozy old fisherman’s house overlooking Sooke Harbour and the Olympic Mountains, Wild Mountain serves a menu that changes daily and celebrates the region’s seasonal bounty. Everything is made in-house, from sourdough bread, pasta, and charcuterie to salad dressings made with their own vinegar. With the support of a vibrant food community harvesting year-round, Wild Mountain has become a warm, welcoming space where guests can gather to savour thoughtfully prepared meals that tell the story of the land and sea.




Sooke Brewing Company
Sooke Brewing Company is a locally owned craft brewery with a distinctive tree-trunk façade and stone pillars that have become a local landmark. Since opening in 2017, it has earned accolades including “Rookie Brewery of the Year” and “Best Tasting Room” at the BC Beer Awards, plus multiple silver medals for their Vienna Lager, German Pilsner, and Belgian Blond ales. In their cozy taproom (or on their heated patio) you can enjoy flights or pints of their award-winning core beers like the Vienna Lager, Belgian Blond, IPA, Japanese Lager, and seasonal specialties like Motueka Lager or Brut IPA. While food isn’t served in-house, a rotating selection of excellent food trucks offer tasty pairings from midday through evening.

Woodside Farm
