Masset Farmers’ Market
Haida Gwaii / Uttewas
Uttewas - The original name of the settlement was Uttewas, meaning "white-slope village" in the Haida language.
The magic of the wild west coast, right in the centre of town.
Community spirit is always available at the Masset Farmers’ Market in Haida Gwaii. This open-air market may have started small, but it grows a little bit more every Friday as more and more locals set up their tents and tables in the centre of town to greet the day.
Because this small community off BC’s west coast stays cool year round, fresh greens are plentiful, and it’s not uncommon to find kale, mizuna, and arugula in the middle of December!
We respectfully acknowledge that the land we gather on is the Unceded Traditional Territory of the Haida People.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
