Agri Park Farmers’ Market
Invermere / Kananuk
Kananuk - The traditional Ktunaxa name for the region of Windermere.
An agricultural retreat in the East Kootenays.
A Wednesday night in Windermere isn’t complete without stopping for a hearty supper and chatting with the friendly faces at the Agri Park Farmers’ Market. This historic 23 acre plot has become a weekly community gathering place due in large part to the strong community spirit that founded the market in 2017.
Shop certified organic farm produce, fresh meats from the local abattoir, fresh baked goods, assorted honey and tasty preserves as the local saddle club trot by on their horses, and live music drifts through the warm summer air.
We acknowledge that the Agri Park Farmers’ Market takes place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa, the Kinbasket (Secwepemc), Syilx, and Sinixt Peoples. We also acknowledge that many forms of agriculture as we know it are food systems that were not traditionally adopted by the First Peoples here. It’s important that while we support local farming and farmers, we also promote the protection of these traditional food systems.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
