Skeena Valley Farmers’ Market
Terrace / Ganeeks Laxha
Ganeeks Laxha - Meaning "Stairway to Heaven", describing the flat mountain ranges surrounding Terrace in the Tsimshian language.
Early to rise, early to feast.
The Skeena Valley Farmers’ Market has been delighting Terrace locals and seasonal visitors for more than 35 years. From May through October, local food producers are set up and selling first thing in the morning every Saturday.
Adjacent to George Little Park in downtown Terrace, live music drifts through the summer air as children splash in the waterpark playground next to the market. While the region’s unique selection of farm fresh produce remains the focus, the addition of an international selection of hot food keeps market patrons happily milling about well into the afternoon.
The Skeena Valley Farmers Market is grateful to be located on the unceded Traditional Tsimshian Territory of the Kitsumkalum and Kitselas people.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
