Powell River Farmers’ Market
Powell River / Qathet
Qathet - This name was gifted by the Tla’amin Nation and means “working together,”.
Generations of farming traditions in the heart of Powell River.
For over 100 years, Powell River’s local farmers have sustained the community through their diverse, abundant farmlands. And for the past 30 plus years, there’s been an enchanting country-style farmers’ market hidden amongst the natural beauty of a picturesque provincial park, celebrating the community’s local agricultural traditions.
The Powell River Summer Farmers’ Market operates every Saturday, from May through September, and on Sundays 12:30 – 2:30 year round. Combining the community’s farming history with modern technologies and organic principles, the produce at the market is fresh and tasty, diverse and wonderfully colourful. An important community event, visitors gather round to enjoy a cold drink, hot meal, live music, or a ride on the miniature train with the kids.
We respectfully acknowledge that the land we gather and operate on is the Unceded Traditional Territory of the Tla’amin Nation.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
