Penticton Farmers’ Market
Penticton / Snpintktn
Snpintktn - Commonly translated as "a place to stay forever," but more accurately means, “a place where people live year-round.” in the Syilx language.
Between 60 and 90 vendors participate in this “make it, bake it, or grow it” farmers’ market in Penticton, with regular buskers and hot food vendors adding to the overall atmosphere. This Saturday market is hosted next to Gyro Park and has evolved over three decades, offering a variety of farm-fresh fruits, veggies, meat and eggs, tasty baked treats, quality handmade crafts, plus wine, beer, cider, spirits, and locally-roasted coffee.
With a 15-acre limit for participating farms and a policy of having the producer behind each stand, Penticton Farmers’ Market gathers growers and consumers from across the South Okanagan and Similkameen regions.
The Penticton Farmers’ Market acknowledges that it is situated on the Traditional, Ancestral and Unceded Territory of the Syilx Okanagan Peoples and the SnPink’tn Nation.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
