North Saanich Farm Market
Greater Victoria / W̱SÁNEĆ
W̱SÁNEĆ - W̱SÁNEĆ means "the emerging people" in SENĆOŦEN, a W̱SÁNEĆ language, referring to an ancient story of a great flood the land emerged from. W̱SÁNEĆ refers to the people as well as the land and is where the English derivation of "Saanich" comes from.
Saturday mornings with the Peninsula’s finest.
For more than 13 years a small group of dedicated volunteers has been responsible for bringing the community together for a weekly gathering amongst the green gardens of West Saanich Road.
Operating every Saturday morning from the start of June through to October, the North Saanich Farm Market is full of community spirit, where the Peninsula’s top food producers display fresh fruits and vegetables, local lamb, beef, and seafood – and some of the most coveted fresh baked breads in the region.
We respectfully acknowledge that the land we gather on is the Unceded Traditional Territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum and Malahat Nations.
