Hazelton Farmers’ Market
Hazelton / Tse-kya
Tse-kya - Meaning "Base of rock" in the Wet'suwet'en language.
Community spirit beneath the watchful gaze of the Hazelton Mountains.
There’s a movement growing week by week at the base of the Hazelton Mountains. Since its inception more than 10 years ago, the Hazelton Farmers’ Market has remained focused on promoting local farmers and craft-producers in the region – and the local community continues to show its support.
Because the market serves a widespread area that includes New, Old, and South Hazelton—plus a handful of First Nation villages—there’s always a friendly new neighbour to meet at this seasonal roadside market. Local musicians and hot food vendors set the scene for a pleasant Sunday morning, while farmers, bakers, and craftspeople display their latest treats.
We thank the Sim’oogit Spookw, Wilp Spookw and the Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en communities our market serves for their support.
The Hazelton Farmers Market Society gratefully acknowledges that our market stands on the ancestral, traditional and unceded Gitxsan laxyip (territory).
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
