Downtown Chilliwack Community Market
Chilliwack / Ts'elxwéyeqw
Ts'elxwéyeqw - Meaning 'as going as far as you can go upriver' in reference to travelling by canoe up the Chilliwack River sloughs leading to Soowahlie, from the Halq’eméylem language.

Food and community that’s focused on food security for the Chilliwack region.
The Downtown Chilliwack Market brings local people together with great local food, music and events. Started through community demand, this outdoor market features farmers, bakers, makers, and foragers, as well as artisans and performers. With capacity for 26 vendors, the market also boasts accessibility, easy parking, food trucks, community booths, artists, food demos, and kids’ activities. The market is located in Downtown Chilliwack, with easy access to local shopping and restaurants to round out your Sunday afternoon experience.
As a food-focused endeavour, the market’s board of directors is prioritizing food security initiatives to ensure locals have affordable access to fresh produce and products grown, baked, made, or gathered close to home. The board also values accessibility, inclusion, and reconciliation, and strives to provide a space for marginalized individuals to feel welcomed and heard.
The Downtown Chilliwack market is located on S’ólh Téméxw – the traditional and unceded territory of the Stó: lō Peoples, specifically Sqwah First Nation. We acknowledge that many forms of agriculture as we know it were not traditionally adopted by the First Peoples here, and we commit to upholding Indigenous food sovereignty whenever possible.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
