Destiny and Kelsey are the dynamic duo behind Bangin’ Bannock, a business designed to help connect people, strengthen Indigenous culture, create conversation and, of course, produce delicious Indigenous frybread dry mix so you can make and enjoy bannock at home.
Destiny is proudly Assiniboine from White Bear on her mother’s side and mixed Caucasian on her father’s side and was born and lives in the land now known as Vancouver, on Coast Salish territory. Motherhood sparked Destiny’s journey into entrepreneurship and her decision to create her business with Kelsey. Pre-pandemic, Kelsey worked as a full-time stage hand and now proudly shares her culture and Nak’azdli Dakelh roots through Bangin’ Bannock. Kelsey is still learning about her cultural roots and is grateful she gets to do this through her business.
Bangin’ Bannock can be found in over ten stores throughout BC, as well as at the Fairmont restaurant at Vancouver Airport. The delicious dry mix can also be purchased on their online store, available for delivery and pick up!
