Surrounded by stunning canyon vistas, the Two Rivers Farmers’ Market is a small, friendly oasis that features the amazing fruit and vegetables grown in the hot, dry climate. Located in Nlaka’pamux territory at the confluence of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers, ‘Q’emcin (aka the Village of Lytton) has been an important trade site for more than 10,000 years. The Two Rivers Farmers’ Market is respectful of that tradition and of its role as the only retail outlet of fresh, locally grown food in a 50 kilometer radius.
The majority of the vendors (and shoppers) are Indigenous, selling everything from traditional wild-crafted food such as Sxusem (soapberry) and Mecekw’ (blackcap raspberries), spectacularly flavourful produce including tomatoes, peppers (hot and sweet), apricots, cherries, and garlic, ethically-raised, grass-fed beef from a local Nlaka’pamux ranch, artisan carvings and beadwork, to delicious baking, and some of the best fresh bannock in BC.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
